We usually file your LLC within 1 business hour of a complete order. Whether it is approved the same day depends on your state, and we tell you up front which states are fast, which sell a rush, and which just take time.
Filed is not the same as approved
There are two steps to a new LLC. First the paperwork is filed with the state. Then the state reviews it and approves it. We control the first step: a complete order placed during business hours is usually filed within 1 business hour, and orders placed after hours are usually filed by 10 AM the next business day. The second step belongs to the state, and no filing service can speed it up beyond what the state itself offers.
So when a company advertises a same day LLC, ask which step they mean. Ours means filed the same business hour. Whether you are approved the same day depends on your state.
States that can approve the same day
These states approve standard online LLC filings quickly, often within minutes to a day, so a morning order can be approved before the day is out: Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
In these states there is nothing to rush: you pay the normal state fee and the approval simply comes fast.
States that sell faster review
In slower states that sell a faster review online, every order is filed with the state's same-day (or fastest online) rush service, so it isn't stuck for weeks. In states that are already fast there is no rush fee at all. We pass the state's rush fee through at cost with no service charge, and your state's page shows it.
A few states, such as Florida, Oregon and Vermont, do not sell faster review for online LLC filings at all, so the normal processing time is the only option.
The slower states
Standard processing in Arizona, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, Texas, Washington, West Virginia can take two weeks or more. Where the state sells a faster online review, we always file with it, at the state's own cost.

HourLLC usually files within 1 business hour, Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 5 PM and Friday 9 AM to 12 PM Eastern. We are closed Saturdays and Sundays. An order placed Friday afternoon is usually filed Monday by 10 AM.

What is the difference between filed and approved?
Filed means the state has received your Articles. Approved means the state has reviewed and accepted them and your LLC legally exists. We usually file within 1 business hour; the state approves on its own schedule.
Which states approve LLCs the fastest?
Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, South Dakota and Wyoming approve online filings instantly, and more (including Kentucky, Missouri, Indiana, New Jersey, New York and Tennessee) can approve the same day or the next business day.
Can I pay for a rush?
If your state sells expedited review, yes. You pay only the state's rush fee, with no service fee from us. We show the options at checkout and confirm the exact fee before charging it.
Does the $99 include the EIN?
Yes. Every order includes the EIN from the IRS, an operating agreement, and your approved documents by email.
Can HourLLC file on Saturday?
No. We file Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 5 PM and Friday 9 AM to 12 PM Eastern, and we are closed Saturdays and Sundays. Orders placed outside those hours are usually filed by 10 AM the next business day.
